Homework for Alphabet and counting immersion!

Primer Dia: Record yourself pronouncing words that start with: CH, H, B-V, G-J, y la ERRE o r.

Here are some examples I got from my friend deepseek! If you want to find your own fun words you can do so as well!

Vowels (A,E,I,O,U)

  1. A - Avión (airplane)

    • ah-bee-OHN

    • "Ah" (father), "bee" (bee), "ohn" (own)

  2. E - Elefante (elephant)

    • eh-leh-FAHN-teh

    • "Eh" (egg), "leh" (let), "fahn" (fun)

  3. I - Isla (island)

    • EE-slah

    • "Ee" (see), "slah" (slaw)

  4. O - Oso (bear)

    • OH-soh

    • "Oh" (open), "soh" (so)

  5. U - Uvas (grapes)

    • OO-vahs

    B-V (Both sound like a soft English "B"—no "V" puff!)

CH (Sounds like "ch" in "church")

G (hard "G") & J (harsh "H")

  • G (before A/O/U or consonants) → Hard "G" like in "go"

    • Girasol → hee-rah-SOL (hee like "heel," sol like "soul")

  • J (always a throaty "H" like "loch" in Scottish)

R (Soft "R" taps, RR rolls like a purring cat!)

  • Soft R (single "R" at start or between vowels → light "tap" like "butter" in American English):

    • RosaROH-sah (roh like "row," sah like "saw")

    • RadioRAH-dee-oh (rah like "rod," dee like "deep")

  • Rolled RR (double "RR" or initial "R" → strong trill):
