Official Modules:Budgets

Avatar: Article officiel Article officiel

The Budgets component allows people to vote by selecting projects of their choosing. Typically it assigns people with a total budget and the projects have value. This would be very useful if we had certain projects that we had to decide between (like VASEN Luncheon, VASEN Dinner, VASEN Barbecue or new chairs, etc). Regardless, I believe we can change this module to one that is more useful if we could use it to log the budget usage for the NOVA Decidim Project. Additionally, it could be useful for the NOVA VASEN DInner if instead of choosing projects we had set categories (food, venue, drinks, etc) and let people set a budget limit for these categories as their vote (so they could input that 20% of the budget should go towards food and 40% to drinks & venue). Something to note is that the current budget module could still be used for the NOVA VASEN Dinner as long as we had the different options and their associated costs. For example, if we had 2 different venues, and various potential food & drink options in mind (and knew how much it would cost) we could enter these options as "projects" and then have people select for their vote.

If you want to view how the current Budget module looks or want a visual example of what I was talking about please visit the NOVA VASEN Luncheon process (https://decidim.novawebdevelopment.org/processes/novavasen/f/50/budgets/4/projects).
