Basic Introduction of Decidim

Decidim is a web software application meant to increase citizen participation. It contains many features meant to help citizens communicate with their government. All modules in Decidim like proposals, and meetings are there because it is believed they will help achieve this goal. Decidim also helps with organizing/planning events through processes, which can have multiple phases, a set start and end date. Moreover, it still is able to use all the modules

meaning these planned events can have citizen input. It is also allows for organizations to have their members communicate with their leaders through assemblies. Beyond simply conveying what citizens desire Decidim helps actually implement the desires changes and allows for citizens to track their government's progress through the Accountability module. In other words, modules are meant to communicate what citizens want and actually have these changes implemented with a lot of transparency. The Accountability module can then be said to be the method for project management in Decidim. (wip)
