Should I invite people from the Virginia Cooperative Extension?

I am debating the summit is the right space to invite cooperative extension workers? there are some stationed in fairfax and arlington who may be interested in what we are doing. Is it fair to only invite academia to this? how can we be a anchor point if we don't allow both populations to meet?
